Issue 26 Sneak Peek

Columbine Doily Pattern in May Issue of HHMMay is chock-full of excitement! We’ve got Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, Military Spouse Appreciation Day, Cinco de Mayo, Star Wars Day (May the 4th be with You!) and Geek Pride Day (which includes Towel Day and The Glorious Day). We couldn’t find a way to bring all of that awesomeness together in one theme, so we decided to focus on Mother’s Day, and created an issue that is full of light & lacy patterns just perfect for the women in your life (whether that woman is you or not).

My favorite pattern in this issue is the beautiful Columbine Doily by Gemma Owen. Now, I’m not typically a doily type person, but the lovely lines, the balance between lace and space, and the delicate airiness of this piece drew me in from the start. And, well… Columbine is Colorado’s state flower, so I might be a little biased.

Issue #26 is full of patterns that share this lacy look – from gloves to shawls to bags to curtains. We’ve even got a pattern for a wedding dress!

Issue #26 will be available to our subscribers on May 15th. Not a subscriber? Signing up is easy!

Emily is a WAHM of 4 children. She is the Editor of Happily Hooked Magazine and Pattern Pack Pro and the owner of Em’s Corner. She spent her years before children as a middle school math teacher, but now enjoys crocheting at her kids’ sporting events and spoiling her nieces and nephews. She loves to teach her children and her nieces and nephews to crochet. When she’s not crocheting, she’s outside with her camera. She was raised in San Diego but now finds herself in the very hot Southern California desert.
