I'd really create a whole host of different things if given a chance. I'm talking no rules and no boundaries.
I've heard people say you can make almost anything. And that's pretty true. But if it were REALLY true, I can imagine what people would make.
I present to you:
10 Little Ol' Free Patterns
1 – Wine
Of course, you would! Or beer or liquor. Or, if you aren't a drinker, imagine creating the perfect coffee whenever you wanted. Ahhh… And since you have all the wine you want, you probably need this beautiful Sweet Bean Wine Collection to tote it around. It's in our Pattern Pack Pro issue #74, November 2020. Lifetime Members, you can find it in your library.
2 – A non-loser partner for your sister
Just think of all the peace and quiet you'd have then. It might take some time to really make someone great, but maybe you could make someone who takes your kids to the zoo while you're at it. The possibilities!
3 – Tonight's dinner
Never again will you have to think, “What should I make for dinner?” Just open your bag of WIPs, and there you go! Isn't that a lot more fun than cooking something?
4 – A time machine so you can go back and tell that girl in grade school that HER backpack is stupid
… kids can be so mean. But here's an adorable backpack that isn't stupid. It's the Mermaid Backpack from Happily Hooked. Make it, then make a time machine and go back and shove it in that mean girl's face!
5 – Zero-calorie brownies that taste normal
Mmmmm brownies.
6 – A 3-day weekend
You'd probably need hand-dyed yarn for this one. Soft, luxurious, natural fibers. And be sure to use your very best hook.
7 – A me-shed (it's a she-shed/man-cave that only lets YOU in)
Sorry, no kids and no partners allowed. This special project creates a place just for you. Plus snacks.
8 – A garbage can that takes itself out, so you didn't have to give your partner a medal every time they do it
You know what I'm talking about.
9 – A better ending for Lost
Because there's just no way I wasted THAT MUCH TIME watching it to see it wrap up that way.
10 – A dishcloth that cleans the dishes on its own
Is this too much to ask? I feel like this is setting the bar low*, but hey, we can dream.

*And if you want to see a lower bar, read the lyrics to “Big Rock Candy Mountain.” It's one of my favorite songs. They don't ask for much!
