30 Days of Fun! October 2020 Edition

crochet patterns 30 days October 2020

Here comes fall! Cooler weather (in many places) means it’s time to get comfy! Whether you’re snuggled indoors or sitting outside in the beautiful sun thinking of your cool-weather friends, you know it’s time to bring on the heavier yarns and cozier patterns.

Less daylight and more time to curl up on the couch means more time for you! And luckily, we've got 30 things to suggest during our 30 Days of Crochet — October 2020 Edition!

Happily Hooked 30 Days!

Grab your hooks, yarn, and cameras folks … because Sam is back with the #HappilyHooked30DaysofCrochet Challenge — October 2020 edition!

Day 5 was National Be Nice Day. We're not crying! YOU'RE crying!

National Be Nice Day Challenge!

October 5th was National Be Nice Day. We asked our peeps what they thought was nice about Happily Hooked. I took a screenshot of just a few of the comments. I mean, I barely scrolled more than a few lines. You people make my heart sing! 💗

Seriously, I wish I could give you all hugs! (And if you aren't already a member, you may want to think about giving yourself an early holiday present, or at the very least, put it on your wish list!)

National World Mental Health Day Challenge!

Tag us in your story!

One of my absolute favorite things is how FULL of benefits it is for you mentally. It helps with depression, anxiety, OCD, lack of focus, and it can even save lives. If you've found that's true for you, feel free to share your story!

We share many stories about the healing powers of crochet in Happily Hooked Magazine, so our readers already know. It's amazing what a little creating can do for you. 🥰

In Other Words

There's plenty of fun to be had all through the month!

Just take a look at photos from a few challenge participants on Instagram from all across the world:

As part of the #happilyhooked30daysofcrochet (hosted by @happilyhookedmagazine ) I'm sharing my current WIP to showcase this amazing hook by @crochicstyles . Not only has it been seeing a lot of action recently, it's also one of my favorite hooks. It's beautiful and sparkly and, most importantly, it's a dream to work with. Hands down, the most comfortable ergonomic hooks you'll ever use! (PSA – their newest line of hooks will be released this weekend. So excited to add to my #crochiccollection !) . . #happilyhookedmagazine #crochichook #crochicstyles #crochetlife #crochetersofinstagram #crochetlove #crochethook #crocheteveryday #makerlife #makersofinstagram #makerssupportingmakers #maker #yarnlife #ghost #handmadelife #handmade #handmademovement #handmadehalloween

Not up for a challenge, right now?

We completely understand. Don't miss out on all of the other fun in the Happily Hooked community. Or just hang out for a spell and get away from it all.

But, FYI. October 26th is National Pumpkin Day, and you probably don't want to miss that.

Happily Hooked members may remember this little gem from the Fall 1999 issue (#66). It's available to Lifetime members and it's a beginner-level pattern! Boo-tiful!
