For Charity – Calling All!
We are so excited to be sending this call out today to our Happily Hooked subscribers and non-subscribers alike for charity.
Happily Hooked is calling on you to grab your hooks and for charity over the next few weeks! If you've been wanting to do something nice for a charity through your art, this is the perfect opportunity.
Our chosen charity is Empty Cradle, an organization that helps grieving parents with memory boxes to honor the babies they lost.

“Empty Cradle is a peer support group for parents who have experienced the loss of their baby due to miscarriage, stillbirth, TFMR, infant death, SIDS or SUID. Our goal is to offer bereaved families support via a resource parent network, through monthly meetings, written materials and partnership with the health care community.”
Steps to Take:

3. Keep an eye out for a few e-mails over the coming weeks, and here are the updates you'll receive:

- The second e-mail will provide the contact information on where to send your finished objects.
- The third e-mail will be us sharing the love and showcasing your generous donations on the blog.

We've compiled a roundup of free baby blanket patterns to help you find the perfect project.
- 24″ x 24″ or smaller
Materials to Use
Yarn
All colors and sizes. Because we aren't sure about allergies parents or siblings may have, it is best to use yarn types that do not cause allergy flares, like acrylic or cotton.
Yarn Weight
The recommended yarn weight for the pattern is best, but ultimately, baby blankets are great in a 3 weight or 4 weight.
